KidzOrb Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating a KidzOrb account or using kidzorb.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

KidzOrb is operated by Johanna Ravelo ("we," "us," or "KidzOrb").

2. Who Can Use KidzOrb

KidzOrb is for adults (18+) who are parents or legal guardians of children. You may not:

  • Create an account on behalf of a child
  • Allow a child to use your account independently
  • Use the Service if you are under 18

By using KidzOrb, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of any children whose information you enter into the Service.

3. Your Account

  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us immediately at support@kidzorb.com if you suspect unauthorized access
  • You may not share your account with other adults (each guardian should have their own account)

4. What KidzOrb Does

KidzOrb helps parents organize information about their children, including:

  • Activity schedules and school events
  • Kid-related expenses and receipts
  • Inbound communications from schools, coaches, and leagues
  • Family profiles (children, guardians, households, emergency contacts)
  • Carpool coordination

KidzOrb uses AI to analyze and summarize data you provide or authorize us to access. AI outputs are for informational purposes — always verify important information independently.

5. Google Integration

If you connect your Google account:

  • You authorize KidzOrb to read your Gmail and/or Google Calendar on your behalf
  • If you choose "Allow changes" for Google Calendar, you also authorize KidzOrb to add and update events on your calendar
  • We access only the data necessary to provide the Service
  • You can disconnect Google at any time in Settings
  • Disconnecting does not delete data already imported into KidzOrb

6. Your Data

  • You own all data you enter into KidzOrb
  • You grant KidzOrb a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the Service
  • We do not sell your data
  • See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Enter false or misleading information
  • Use KidzOrb to harass, stalk, or harm others
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Violate any child privacy laws (COPPA, FERPA, CCPA, etc.)

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Beta Program

KidzOrb is currently in beta. During the beta period:

  • Features may change, be removed, or be unavailable without notice
  • Data may be subject to reasonable limits
  • You may be asked to provide feedback under a separate NDA
  • The Service is provided as-is without warranty during beta

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. KIDZORB DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

AI-generated summaries and suggestions are for informational purposes only. KidzOrb is not responsible for decisions made based on AI output.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KIDZORB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO KIDZORB IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold KidzOrb harmless from any claims arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

12. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete My Account
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy

13. Changes to Terms

We will notify you by email at least 14 days before making material changes to these Terms. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
